Cookie policy on the websites of the Medical University of Wrocław This document specifies the rules for storing and accessing information using "cookies" files, saved on the User's IT devices, used on the websites of the Medical University of Wrocław.

I. Definitions

Administrator – Wrocław Medical University, with its seat at Wybrzeże Pasteura 1, 50-367 Wrocław, represented by the Rector.

Inspektor Ochrony Danych (IOD) -The Data Protection Officer is Iwona Pilarska, e-mail: IOD@umw.edu.pl, tel.: 887 420 111.
 
Cookies  – small text files sent by the website www.umw.edu.pl used by the User to the User's IT device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.).
 
Website – means a website or application under which the Administrator runs a service in the *.umw.edu.pl domain

User – means an entity for which services may be provided electronically.
 

II. cookies

Cookies are used to:

making it easier or easier for users to use the website - cookies are the basic way of remembering the individual preferences of Internet users who browse a given website,
creating anonymous website statistics,
maintaining the user's session (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to re-enter their login and password on each subpage of the website.

 
Most often, web browsers allow cookies to be stored on a computer, tablet or smartphone by default.However, Users can manage cookies themselves, including blocking them.

The user can decide whether or not to save cookies by changing the settings of their web browser:

in Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security,
in Chrome: Settings > Advanced Settings > Privacy > Content Settings,
in Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Privacy (allows you to choose different levels of protection) > Advanced,
in Opera: Preferences > Advanced > Cookies.

 

The User may at any time delete cookies using the available functions in the web browser they are using.

Blocking or limiting the use of cookies may disable or limit the possibility of using some functionalities of the website operated by the Administrator.
